The documentary covers the journey of Itaperuna Esporte Clube, a football team that made history in the 1980s and 1990s. Located in a small town, 6 hours away from the Rio de Janeiro, the club made its mark in state tournaments and lower divisions of the national championship. It fostered professional football in the region and produced local legends such as Alexandre Guerreiro and Pacato, but also developed internationally renowned players such as full-back Serginho. They narrowly missed out on promotion to the first division, when they drew with Sport Club Recife on all criteria and had their elimination decided in a controversial draw at the Brazilian Football Confederation. Now abandoned, the small local stadium hosted historic clashes with stars such as Casagrande, Zico, Romário and Edmundo, and was the stage for episodes that have become part of Brazilian football culture. This story is told in the film by players, coaching staff and managers who took part in the heyday of the "Northwestern Eagle".
