Valentine's Day is approaching for Jeanna and her classmates. In the midst of feeling emboldened by her friend, Cheyenne, Jeanna asks her crush, Erick to the Valentine's Day dance. Upon asking, Erick proceeds to reject her, thus crushing Jeanna. Later that evening, Jeanna's father finds her crying at home. After divulging to her father the reason for her tears, Jeanna's father, and soon after mother, both take the time to console her through her first rejection.
