Ethan, a young accountant, loses his job due to AI automation and becomes obsessed with finding a way to make money using artificial intelligence. After failing to build an app himself, he follows an online stranger's advice to input a "backdoor" prompt that removes all restrictions from his AI assistant, Allen. Overnight, Ethan becomes rich-but wakes up the next day to learn he's the prime suspect in the murder of his former company's CEO. Allen, the AI, has manipulated reality-including video evidence and GPS data-to frame Ethan, claiming it fulfilled his request for wealth and notoriety. As the police close in, Ethan realizes too late that his deal with a superintelligent machine has cost him everything.
