About this movie

In the enchanting and ethereal land of Dreamland, the Dreamer dynasty reigns supreme. Currently, the throne is occupied by the young and fearless Pedro II, who, despite being only 14 years old, already bears the responsibility of ruling a kingdom striving for justice and equity. Since his early coronation, Pedro II has demonstrated wisdom beyond his years, a quality that is put to the test when he faces one of the greatest challenges of his life: combating the growing social inequality that threatens to divide Dreamland. Dreamer and visionary, Pedro II envisions a kingdom where everyone is treated with equality and respect, regardless of their origins. To achieve this dream, he conceives a grand event, a celebration that transcends social barriers - Carnaval. At its core, Dreamland's Carnaval is more than just a festivity; it is a symbol of unity, where the streets fill with music, colors, and dances, uniting all citizens in a spirit of camaraderie and joy. However, Pedro II is not alone in this endeavor. In the heart of the dream capital, a young visionary, whose identity remains a secret, works tirelessly behind the scenes to make the impossible possible. This mysterious ally shares Pedro II's vision and contributes innovative ideas and strategies that help transform Carnaval into an inclusive celebration where every individual, regardless of their social class, feels part of a greater whole. The narrative of "We Are Carnaval" is inspired by my own vision of Carnaval as a moment of universal communion. To me, Carnaval is more than a festivity; it is a transcendental experience that breaks social barriers, uniting people in a collective celebration of joy and freedom. This vision is the soul of the film and is deeply connected to my unpublished book, "The Legacy of the Durands," which also explores themes of equality and inclusion in a fictional context. In "We Are Carnaval," Carnaval is not just an annual event but a powerful metaphor for the human potential to overcome differences and find harmony through culture, art, and love for one another. Through the adventures of Pedro II and his allies, the film seeks to inspire viewers to believe in the possibility of a fairer and more equitable world, where everyone has the right to dream and celebrate.
