A Long Day follows John, a young supplier working for a private company called Spytex. Throughout the film, John is followed by Lucie, the second character in the film, who communicates with him during his missions via a connected earpiece. The film alternates between a day on assignment in 1966 and a day two years later, in the summer of 1968.
