About this movie

Martha, a 70-year-old woman, is above all things, tired. She has spent her entire life working, but in this new utilitarian State, she cannot simply retire and live out her days, she must "work" more. Martha refuses to accept that in her late years she has to be the entertainer of badly behaved children, for a random family that chooses to adopt her, because the State has made this obligatory. She goes through the interviews frightening and intimidating children to avoid adoption, while the State slowly runs out of patience. Antonis on the other hand, her only friend in the facility, has an entirely different view and wishes to be adopted so as to live out his days with any family that will have him. Martha is running out of time and every child she meets is worse, making her conviction to resist adoption even stronger.
