In a school where academics reign supreme, creativity is under siege. The story follows Arghadeep, a quiet student with a passion for writing, and Anudipa, his spirited friend, as they challenge the system that seeks to silence artistic expression. After the principal bans all extracurricular activities due to declining academic results, including the much-loved Creative Club, a spark of rebellion ignites. Arghadeep slips into a dream, where the school transforms into a courtroom-the SLS Courtroom-and a mock trial unfolds. In this surreal trial, Arghadeep defends the right to be creative, while Shlok, the studious monitor, and teacher Sayan argue for strict academic focus. The courtroom becomes a battleground of ideologies: one side fighting for holistic growth and emotional intelligence, the other for traditional success and exam scores. Testimonies reveal not just facts, but hidden frustrations and buried dreams-especially when Arghadeep exposes Sayan's abandoned passion for music, lost to societal pressure. When Arghadeep is asked what he wants to become, his simple answer, "Writer," is met with mockery. But this dreamlike trial plants a seed of change. Upon waking, Arghadeep receives a surprising letter: he's been accepted into the newly revived Creative Club. As he runs through the corridor, smiling for the first time in a while, Faulted Dreams ends not with a verdict, but with a quiet victory-for imagination, for passion, and for the courage to dream, even in a system that punishes it.
