Kalidas is a simple and innocent boy from a village - so simple that the villagers often call him "uncultured" or "unrefined." He marries a girl named Chandramukhi. However, on their wedding night, when Chandramukhi sees just how naive and plain Kalidas truly is, she becomes furious. In anger, she throws Kalidas out of the house, telling him: "Go out into the world and learn some manners and refinement before you return!" Heartbroken but determined, Kalidas sets off on a journey in search of "refinement." On the way, he meets a woman named Anjali, who is already married. Surprisingly, Anjali welcomes Kalidas into her home and treats him like her own brother. However, her husband becomes extremely upset and suspicious: "Why is this strange man living in my house with my wife?" Tension brews, and questions arise. But the mystery is resolved in a powerful twist at the end of the story - revealing the deep truth behind Anjali's relationship with Kalidas, and why she protected him like her own sibling. This is a heartwarming family tale, filled with the flavors of rural India and traditional folk music from Uttar Pradesh.
