In this prequel to The Uncommon Mortal, video tapes made by a supernatural prophet named Julie Diana document her thoughts, her life story and her mental decline as she navigates the months leading up to her death, while hiding in an abandoned bomb shelter. She is on the run from Osiris Lux, a corrupt Heavenbound war strategist who is aiming to kill prophets like Julie and resurrect them from the dead using lightning, in an inhumane experiment to turn prophets into immortal superhuman-like weapons that can be used in the battle between Heaven and Hell. Prophets like Julie, referred to as Uncommon Mortals, have the ability to hear the voices of the afterlife through static TV channels and static radio stations. Her only connection to the outside world is through Nuclear Radio, a radio station made to send telepathic messages to prophets to let them know who Osiris has recently killed, and who is next.
