Aniket, a talented and passionate young boy, has just completed his schooling. While his friend celebrates his 73% result and the freedom to pursue journalism, Aniket silently battles the weight of his family's expectations. Despite scoring a decent 69%, his heart lies not in academics, but in music. His dreams take a hopeful turn when he receives a call from a reputed singing academy - he has been shortlisted for a live audition in Delhi. Elated, he gathers the courage to talk to his parents. But instead of encouragement, he faces harsh disapproval. His father belittles singing as a career, pushing him towards the family shop and a "secure" government job. His mother echoes the same sentiments, valuing societal opinion over his desires. Crushed, Aniket mechanically starts working at the shop. A glimpse of a child singing rekindles his lost smile briefly, but reality hits back. Even when the academy calls again to confirm his audition, Aniket, now numb, rejects the call - both literally and metaphorically. The film closes on a poignant note, as Aniket stands on the rooftop with shattered dreams, questioning whether passion is only a privilege for the "lucky" ones whose parents understand. Message: Mere Sapne, Paraye Faisle is a heartfelt reminder that dreams need support, not suppression. It urges society and parents to listen - truly listen - to their children's passions. Because in the end, marks don't define the future - passion does.
