In Red Void, Daniel Rourke, was a Level 2 researcher temporarily transferred from Site-19 to assist at Site-120 - the kind of personnel rarely remembered, often left out of reports, but still sent into dangerous situations. Years ago, he was part of a failed containment study involving an experimental interface with SCP-3001. During a test gone wrong, Daniel was accidentally displaced into the Red Reality, a dimension of non-reality that the Foundation believed impossible to survive. He was declared dead. No search was conducted. But he endured. Alone. For six years. When he suddenly reappears in our world, the Foundation quietly relocates him under a veil of secrecy. No fanfare. No explanation. No therapy. Just an apology, a new identity, and a suburban home to "adjust." Daniel's connection to the Foundation is marked by abandonment and betrayal. He trusted the organization. Gave them everything. And they erased him. Now he's trying to rebuild his life... but the Red Void never let go. And neither did the Foundation.
