Zhou Qingyu has been plagued by auditory hallucinations since her grandmother's death. She decides to search for the woman in a photo she finds among her grandmother's relics but instead meets the woman's granddaughter, Jinji, at her destination. She and Jinji become friends and spend a few dreamy days together. She wants to take Jinji away from this closed-off county, but Jinji disappears.
