"The Digital mermaid: The Sound of Holograms" tells the story of the conception and creation process of the holographic prototype of an interactive siren that performs songs from the classical Neapolitan music repertoire in multilingual versions. This project is accessible through an artistic installation currently exhibited at MANN (National Archaeological Museum of Naples) and a smartphone app aimed at promoting widespread dissemination of the project. The feature film aims to guide viewers on a journey between past and future, from the myth of the Siren Parthenope to the present day, with the creation of the prototype using the most advanced digital technologies. The narrative is enriched by the presence of prominent figures who have supported the project, such as Paolo Giulierini (Director of the Archaeological Museum of Naples) and Giuseppe Gaeta (Director of the Academy of Fine Arts of Naples at the time of the project's development). From the vision of the Digital Siren to the creation of the working group, led by scientific coordinators Lello Savonardo and Luigi Gallo, from the iconographic design developed from drawings by Zaira De Vincentiis (Professor of Drawing and Costume at the Academy of Fine Arts of Naples) to the creation of the costume through a delicate body mastering phase of the artist, carried out by Maurizio Crocco Egineta (Professor of Sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts of Naples), to the makeup, with the involvement of makeup artist Kriss Barone (Professor of Makeup at the Academy of Fine Arts of Naples), leading up to the arrangement and audio recording of the songs Reginella and Malafemmena, translated into Chinese and English and sung by Francesca Fariello, with the authorization of the prestigious Campania-based publishing house, La Canzonetta.
