After his wife dies, a melancholy husband and his adult daughter return to his home. While the daughter packs away mom's possessions, lethargic dad becomes a T.V. couch potato bingeing on Star Trek reruns. When the daughter dresses as a Trekkie, she gets Dad to snap back to reality with a home memorial for Mr. Spock. Meanwhile, Mom's spirit seems to be present as a living vine watching events at home.
