Jennifer, a failed musician stuck in the customer service grind, is just trying to survive her monotonous life; one day at a time. Upon once again overhearing her cantankerous neighbors' evening ritual bicker, she attempts to escape the confines of her humble apartment. Her exit is unexpectedly stymied when she finds the neighbors' daughter - Lola - hanging out sullen and dejected in the building hallway. Reluctantly, Jennifer invites Lola over for a respite, leading to their bonding over a shared love of getting lost in the music of a guitar.
